The Role:
RegionalDirector ofHealth & Well-Beingprovides directhands onleadershipand supporttocommunity leadership teams primarily working with our Executive Directors and Directors of Leader willwork with the Health & Well-Being teams to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service and experiences by inspiring and empowering our team members to make a meaningful difference with the lives of those we serve.
The Regional Directorof Health & Well-Beingwillmodel the Vitality philosophy of promoting Vibrant Livingby understanding the unmet needs of the residents living withvarious healthcare needs including Alzheimers and other forms of Leader will workto develop awell-trained compassionate care team that promotes dignity and choice to residents whileaddressingother service issues that have a potential impact upon the healthand wellbeingofourresidents.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Southeast region (TN or GA preferred) and be located within reasonable proximity to a major airport.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
All responsibilities are to be performed withinscopeof practice per state or provincial regulations.
- Ensure quality staff of Nurses/Medication Attendants/Resident Services Attendants by recruiting hiring supervising evaluating counseling andif necessaryterminatingteam members.
- Upholds Vitality Senior Livings values andmodelsprofessional behaviorsin accordance withservice standards as a key leader of the Vitality team.
- Assistsand partners with theRegional Vice President Executive Directors andHealth &Well-BeingDirectorsto develop andmaintainVitalitys wellness programs and VitalitysVibrant Living standards.
- Participates and leads in the development of a resident services programming monitors program implementation and success throughout the communities.
- Participates in the development of protocols and policies to ensurecomplianceall operating states regulations Vitalitys Policies and Procedures and best practice.
- Formulates training policies programs and schedules for the Health &WellBeingdepartment based on knowledge of identified training needs company production processes business systems or changes in products procedures or services.
- Works closely with the People & Culture and Engagement in selecting theappropriate instructionalprocedures or methods such as individual training group instruction self-study lectures demonstrations simulation exercises role play and computer-based training for the Resident Services department.
- Organizes and develops training manuals referencelibrary testing and evaluation procedures multimedia visual aids and other educational materials in collaboration with the People & Culture and closely with People & Culture and Engagement inidentifyingcommunity specific needs forappropriate implementationandassistanceto meet businessobjectives.
- Trains new Health & Well-Being Directors and other Well-Being supervisory personnel in effective techniques for training such as new Team Members orientation on-the-job training health and safety practices management development and adaptations to changes in policies procedures and technologies.
- Maintains records and prepares statistical reports to evaluate performance of instructors and monitorprogressof trainees.
- Works closely with People & Culture and Engagement in operating staffingmodeland service guidelines in Vitalitys VibrantLivingprogramingto meetchangingneeds of residents. Conducts analysis studies and confers with Executive Director and Health &WellBeingDirectors indeterminingcontinuous improvement of operating model.
- Working knowledge of Texas and Florida and other state regulations in which Vitalityoperates.
- Ensure Nurses/Medication Attendants/Resident Services are educated and trained usingthe respective Resources(e.g. Nurse Resource).
- Ensure regular competency evaluations of Nurses/Medication Attendants/Resident Services Attendants are completed.
- Conduct continuing education and training for Nurses/MedicationAssistants/Resident Services Attendants as necessaryon all shifts.
- Complete Nursing Assessments auxiliary evaluations of residents and all other required and/orappropriate evaluations addressing physical emotional social and spiritual needs.
- Responsible forestablishingand maintaining quality of care systems to ensure all residents receive the care as outlined on individual resident care includes systems to ensure correct medications are administered as needed physicians and other health therapies are communicated with ina timelywayand families are informed of any resident change of conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state or provincial regulations pertaining to health services.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
LEADERSHIP FUNCTIONS:
- Reviewa monthly quality report for the Executive Director andVicePresidentof Health&Wellbeing on quality indicatorssuch as:falls weight loss hospitalizations re-hospitalizations number of medications and psychoactive medications
- Increaseteam member recognition and reward through performance reviews and promotion.
- Attend andparticipatein training in-services and team member meetings as requested.
- Understandand implement all emergency plans including fireearthquakeand other in monthly training for team members and yearly evacuation plans for team members and residents.
- Adhere to Vitalitys Leadership Values at all times.
- Adhere to Vitality safety protocols at all times.
REQUIREMENTSSKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Registered Nurse
- Meet state or provincial health-related requirements.
- Maintain current professionallicense
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Maintain any other certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
- Demonstrate ability toprofessionally and compassionatelycommunicate effectivelyin English both verbally and in writing.
- Has held similar positions insenior livingskilled nursing homehealth and/or rehabilitation centers that serve older adults.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team caring for older adults.
- Be able and willing to travel up to 75% of your working time.
- Multi-site experience preferred and travel 3 weeks per month
- Be a self-starter capable of workingremotelyand independently.
