Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join our Omaha NE team. As a Non-CDL Delivery Driver you will be primarily responsible for delivering dry loads to customer locations throughout the local branch area. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the delivery function which includes safely operating a motor vehicle delivering merchandise and customer service. You will be expected to pull and prepare orders to be delivered to customers and ensure that deliveries are timely and correct via established routes. This position will perform warehouse duties when not performing driving duties.
Responsibilities
What youll do
- Drive non-CDL truck and follow all safety procedures per company policy
- Pull product load and unload merchandise using forklifts and other necessary machinery and tools
- Deliver merchandise and double check order accuracy upon delivery
- Perform daily pre-trip post-trip and DOT inspections and ensure an orderly vehicle
- Complete appropriate paperwork for delivered merchandise
- Follow company policies regarding vehicle maintenance services and driver policies
- Maintain a clean work environment including vehicles and loading docks
- When not performing driving duties assist in the warehouse and store as needed
Qualifications
What were looking for
- Experience working in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment preferred but not required
- A valid drivers license and good driving record per company policy
- Must be able to obtain or currently have a CDL Medical card
- Must be able to obtain or currently have Class E drivers license (MO) or Class C (IL)
- High attention to detail and strong math skills to ensure accuracy
- Ability to follow direction and safe operating procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift without assistance (weight varies based on product)
- Ability to be trained to use forklifts and other warehouse machinery
- Work on his/her feet including walking for extended periods of time
- Willing to work overtime as needed
