About the role

Lead workplace relations compliance initiatives in line with the evolving employment law and industrial landscape within which Life Without Barriers (LWB) operates. You will be a key member in a team of highly experienced and talented Employee Relations professionals. This is a permanent full time rolethat can be located anywhere in Australia where you have full flexibility to work from home or one of our offices - wherever you work best.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with colleagues across to implement monitor and manage systems processes policies and tools directed at systematic and efficient implementation of legal and industrial requirements.
  • Represent LWB in the Fair Work Commission and other employment tribunals.
  • Interpret and advise on the application of workplace laws modern awards and industrial agreements.
  • Proactively monitor for legislative and industrial instrument developments and provide practical advice regarding implementation.
  • Lead initiatives and projects to ensure the continuous improvement of our compliance frameworks

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Law Industrial Relations Human Resources or similar.
  • Extensive experience in Legal Employee / Industrial Relations and/or Human Resources roles.
  • Advocacy experience in the Fair Work Commission and/or other employment tribunals.
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of industrial instruments workplace legislation and case law to stakeholders.
  • The ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Experience working in a fluid and changing environment.
