Job Summary

Dental Assistant - per - diem


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dental team in a per-diem status. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about providing exceptional patient care and supporting dental practitioners in a fast-paced friendly environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a clean and safe environment

- Assist dentists during various dental procedures including exams fillings and cleanings

- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed

- Manage patient records and update dental histories accurately

- Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and answer their questions

- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently

- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials as necessary

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols

Requirements

The successful applicant should have:


- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification preferred

- Proven experience as a dental assistant or in a similar role

- Knowledge of dental procedures instruments and sterilization techniques

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management software

- Certification in CPR
