Job Title: Application Engineer (Oracle Financials)
Location: Redmond WA
Work Type: Onsite (Non-local candidates must relocate at their own expense after selection)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to design develop and support applications within and around Oracle Financial Applications (R12). This role involves building scalable high-performance solutions to support Amazons rapidly growing financial systems handling millions of transactions daily.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Financials data modeling and distributed systems along with the ability to lead technical initiatives solve complex problems and deliver reliable enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop solutions to automate financial processes within Oracle Financials (R12)
- Build and support applications handling large-scale financial transactions and complex workflows
- Develop and maintain RICE components (Reports Interfaces Conversions Extensions)
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure high performance scalability and reliability of applications in a distributed environment
- Perform data modeling data analysis and performance optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users developers and management
- Participate in code reviews testing and deployment activities
- Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in software engineering
- Drive technical decisions and contribute to architecture and design discussions
Required Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5 years of experience with Oracle Financial Applications (R12)
- Strong understanding of Oracle ERP architecture
- Hands-on experience with RICE components (Reports Interfaces Conversions Extensions)
- Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL Oracle Forms Reports XML Publisher
- Experience supporting General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Receivable (AR) modules
- Strong skills in data modeling data analysis and performance tuning
- Experience building scalable distributed applications (SOA/Microservices)
- Solid understanding of SDLC coding standards code reviews and testing practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with technical and business stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead initiatives and mentor team members
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Java development
- Experience in high-volume enterprise-scale environments
- Exposure to cloud or modern distributed architectures
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
