POSITION SUMMARY:
The Merchandise Operations Specialist II works under the guidance of the Merchandise Operations Manager. This position coordinates the daily workload within the Merchandise Operations department. The ability to achieve reasonable deadlines and attention to detail is critical to this position. The Merchandise Operations Specialist II helps in the training of new department employees. They act as role model and provides guidance to Merchandise Operations Sr. Coordinator(s) and Merchandise Operations Coordinator(s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides frontline supervisory support.
- Distributes the daily workload of entry and maintenance.
- Helps organize sort and distribute the daily workload of data entry and regular maintenance of pertinent information related to new SKU setup product and pricing assortments and promotional planning as well as other areas as required.
- Communicates effectively and regularly with team status/ process updates
- Contributes to training and approach to support the operational team
- All OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Degree: Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
- Experience: 4 years of relevant industry knowledge
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Proficient skills with a strong understanding of the BPS MMS program or similar programming
- Strong PC skill and the willingness to learn new tools and processes
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet company deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent data entry skills
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly performs computer work and sits.
- Occasionally walks stands and lifts up to 50 lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
- Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
