Job Summary
SUMMARY
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern you will be responsible for traveling throughout North America performing field services for various turbine manufacturers and turbine owners. You will also work at our MW Shop located in Sioux Falls SD.

To perform the essential functions of this position successfully an individual should be able to demonstrate and provide the following:
Strong mechanical background (tools heavy equipment)
Basic knowledge of SolidWorks
Able to perform load evaluations
Ability to climb ladders up to heights of 300 plus feet (must not exceed 280 lbs. for safety of employee)
Work in confined spaces with diverse environmental conditions
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
Possess a valid drivers license
Travel for up to six (6) weeks at a time
Ability to work overnight shifts/weekends
Ability and willingness to learn new software applications
Excellent organizational skills communication skills ability to multitask and most importantly the ability to work well in a team
Demonstrated openness to change flexibility and adaptability Revision Date: June 2014

This position is an internship and will be under the supervision of the Mechanical Engineering Manager. Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements in all work environments. This position operates in a field and shop environment. Specific physical requirements include:
On feet for approximately 90% of the time while working.
Regularly lifting weights of fifty (50) pounds and up to one hundred (100) pounds occasionally.
