Job Summary
Metros Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a per diem employee to work in our outpatient clinic in Jericho 2 days per week. Caseload demographics include: Aphasia Dysphagia Pediatrics School-Age Voice Cognitive Communication Disorders AAC use etc. We have just partnered with NYU Langone and will be building our outpatient clinics.
Metro is looking for a motivated compassionate forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. Were looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges.
Job Type: Per Diem
Pay: $65.00 per hour
Qualifications :
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Evaluates a patients need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
- Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan agency policy and professional standards of care.
- Instructs family members Home Health Aides and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP
- Mandatory Certifications: First Aid AED & CPR Certifications (live course)
