- Participate in Under 5 mortality audit 3 months data collection activities at designated study sites in accordance with approved study protocols.
- Abstract and record data from health clinics registers patient files and routine ART documentation using standardized study tools.
- Ensure accuracy completeness and consistency of all collected data including verification and resolution of discrepancies where necessary.
- Maintain proper documentation and secure storage of all study records ensuring confidentiality in line with data protection and evaluation ethics requirements.
- Monitor and support the implementation of study activities at site level maintaining detailed records of progress and challenges.
- Provide regular (weekly or as required) updates to the Study Coordinator on enrolment progress and any issues affecting implementation.
- Support data quality assurance processes including routine checks audits and adherence to study protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with facility staff District Health Management Teams (DHMT) and program teams to ensure smooth study implementation.
- Contribute to the efficient day-to-day coordination of study activities at site level.
- Where applicable support clinical review of under-5 patient records to ensure accuracy and relevance of collected data.
- Maintain both electronic and manual filing systems in an organized and up-to-date manner.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Evaluation Coordinator or Evaluation Manager.
Qualifications :
- Minimum Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery.
- Registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council
Additional Information :
- Previous experience in evaluation and/or data collection preferably in public health or HIV/ART programs will be an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy completeness and consistency of data.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to evaluation ethics and data protection requirements.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy including experience with data entry and management (e.g. Microsoft Office or similar systems).
Proficiency in both English and Sesotho (written and spoken).
