About the Opportunity
Our client is actively seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to join their growing team. They are a multi-disciplined engineering firm specializing in industrial marine and port projects. For over 50 years they have served major oil companies terminal operators and port authorities. Due to increased project demand they are open to considering candidates at various experience levels including those who are earlier in their career and looking to grow.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse engineering projects including structural design marine applications and site development in a collaborative and technically driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural design using steel and reinforced concrete
Perform structural condition surveys and project site visits
Perform varying levels of project management depending on experience
Apply industry standards including AISC ACI 318 IBC and ASCE 7
Support or lead engineering projects from concept through completion
Conduct structural analysis using tools such as STAAD Pro
Assist with or design civil sitework and drainage systems
Prepare and review engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD 2D/3D
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality solutions
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
2 years of experience
Experience in structural design (steel and/or concrete preferred)
Familiarity with structural analysis software (STAAD Pro preferred)
Working knowledge of engineering design codes and standards
Familiarity with AutoCAD (2D/3D)
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in marine or coastal engineering design
Project management experience
Familiarity with tools such as Optimoor or CADWorx
PE or SE license (not required support for future licensure available)
