- Implement and maintain mobile device management solutions administer phone registration and advise on enterprise policies.
- Review performance logs and monitor system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware stability problems.
- Ensure that system hardware operating systems software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
- Provide user support and may conduct user software and hardware training to formulate technology solutions and ensure the effective safeguarding and sharing of enterprise data.
- Perform and/or oversee daily system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware server resources systems and key processes reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Install configure test and maintain operating systems application software and system management tools.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement those fixes.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Bachelors degree in Computer related major or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of oil and gas industry experienced strongly preferred
- Demonstrated technical capabilities are a must as are people skills. This position requires an ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong Customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter with ability to recognize and solve problems.
- Server virtualization and management work experience using VMware.
- Solid experience with Microsoft/Windows environments (e.g. Microsoft operating systems Microsoft technologies).
Special Job Characteristics:
- May travel (15%) to division locations to assist as needed.
- Required to carry a mobile phone and to be on-call during off-hours as necessary.
- Desire and dedication to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
