Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your communications expertise in a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.
Youll play a key role in designing and implementing data network communication systems that are integral to our Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) solutions for Mainline and Mass Transit projects. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (such as signalling infrastructure and operations) support installation and commissioning activities both remotely and on-site and contribute to the development of next-generation communication systems.
Youll specifically take care of the conceptual detailed and final design of communication systems but also assist with strategic sourcing and vendor evaluations for communications equipment.
Well look to you for:
Communications systems design including conceptual detailed and final design with documentation
Interfacing with other subsystems and third parties for design and implementation
Supporting installation testing and commissioning both remotely and on-site
Contributing to product development and planning for next-generation communication systems
Supporting strategic sourcing for communications equipment vendor evaluations
Ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards

Degree in communications electrical engineering or a similar field or equivalent industry experience
Experience in the design testing and commissioning of wired communication systems covering the complete design lifecycle
Familiarity with Cisco Hirschmann Westermo or Moxa switches/routers is a plus
Knowledge of emissions regulations and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards (highly desired but not required)
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and documentation skills
