Location: Columbia SC
Schedule
- Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (varied start times between 7:00 AM 9:00 AM)
- 40 hours per week (Monday Friday)
- On-call rotation required (evenings and weekends)
- Weekend coverage supported via rotating call schedule
Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology Technologist specializes in neuro-interventional procedures supporting physicians in minimally invasive image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role requires expertise in neurovascular imaging patient care and maintaining a high standard of safety and procedural efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Procedural Support
- Assist physicians during interventional and neuro-interventional radiology procedures
- Prepare and position patients for imaging and interventions
- Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure procedural safety
Patient Care
- Monitor patient condition before during and after procedures
- Provide patient education and ensure comfort and safety
- Respond promptly to patient needs and procedural changes
On-Call & Emergency Support
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend coverage
- Respond to emergency cases as required
Equipment & Compliance
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of radiology equipment
- Follow radiation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
- Specialized experience in Interventional Radiology
- Neuro-interventional radiology experience required
- Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital-based interventional radiology setting
- Strong understanding of neurovascular procedures and imaging techniques
