Job Summary
Dematic is looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer Sorter Center of Excellence (CoE) to
be hired with a permanent contract for its premises in Cernusco Sul Naviglio. He/She will work with
an international Team in order to develop complex sortation system for automated warehouse.

Tasks and Qualifications:
Your challenge:
The Electrical Design Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager is going to work in an international business context will be responsible for:
- Electrical Design
Design electrical systems and components for sorter equipment based on contractual and technical specifications. - Wiring Diagrams & Layouts
Develop and maintain functional wiring diagrams cable lists and electrical layouts using EPLAN P8 and AutoCAD. - Documentation
Support the creation of product documentation including electrical schematics for manuals spare parts lists and safety compliance documentation. - Technical Interface with Suppliers
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure technical accuracy proper component selection and alignment with project requirements. - Support Installation & Commissioning
Provide technical assistance to the site installation and commissioning teams during the deployment phase of sorter systems. - Standardization and Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the standardization of electrical solutions within the Sorter CoE helping to improve consistency safety and maintainability.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical diploma.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in the industrial or automation sector
- Prior experience in the material handling or intralogistics sector is highly valued
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in EPLAN P8 for electrical schematics
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D layouts
- Understanding of electrical norms and CE/UL/CSA conformity
- Familiarity with safety regulations and risk assessment practices
- Basic understanding of PLC systems and industrial automation is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team player with proactive problem-solving attitude
- Ability to collaborate across departments (Controls Mechanical Software PM)
Languages:
- Full professional proficiency in Italian and English (written and spoken
Mobility:
- Availability for occasional international travel during commissioning or supplier coordination phases
