Job Summary
How youll make an impact on the structural team:
- Work individually or in a team under the guidance of a supervisor in an office environment.
- Prepare construction documents including foundation plans framing plans sections and details based on engineered sketches and company design standards.
- A willingness to learn basic structural engineering concepts and how commercial structures are constructed.
- Interpret and translate engineering calculations and design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
- Maintain company drafting standards and participate in the quality assurance of completed work.
- Coordinate structural drawings with multiple discipline-specific project team members.
- Perform site visits with field measuring and observations.
Tools to be successful in this role:
- Associates Degree or equivalent in drafting and design architecture or engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in drafting low and mid-rise buildings.
- Autodesk Revit Certifications are not required but preferred.
