Salary: 37928 per annum plus essential car user allowance starting at 1250 per annum
Permanent 35 hours per week Monday Friday 9am to 5pm

About the role
AsourHealth & Safety Advisorfor the North youll support and improve colleague safety providing assurance that the health and safety management system is meeting its legal requirements and that risk controls are in place and effective. This will be achieved through delivering colleague safety training programmes supporting and advising colleagues in your areas and auditing to a schedule in order to monitor and analyse the performance of the health and safety management system. Youll also be involved in accident investigations and providing a responsive service to colleagues and customers when they need advice on Health & Safety matters.
Its an exiting time to join the Health & Safety team due to the changing regulatory landscape in social housing. Your role will make a real impact byimproving safety for our customers and colleagues. Youll also support in driving changes to policies and procedures ensuring that were able to deliver a first class service.

Salary
The spot salary for this post is 37928 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If youre still developing some of the skills or experience you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.
Plus an essential car user allowance starting at 1250 per annum.
About you
The essentials
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Deep understanding and experience ofcurrent UK health & safety legislative and regulatory requirements and how to apply them.
- Experience of internal auditing or auditing in a variety of health & safety fields.
- An appreciation of safety concerns in housing.
- Driven inquisitive accountable open and honest. Taking ownership of situations from beginning to end to ensure the best possible outcome.
- Fantastic relationship building skills which enables you to build rapport with all stakeholders.
The desirables
- Experience within the housing sector is advantageous.
- Ideally youll have a customer focused mindset.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety management systems.
Interviews

Youll deliver a presentation to the panel and behavioural and scenario-based interview focused on how you apply your knowledge to real-life situations. Youll be asked to complete a Congruity Questionnaire in advance.
