About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5 delivering engaging and relevant lessons that prepare pupils for examinations and future pathways. You will play an important role in developing pupils understanding of enterprise finance marketing and organisational structures. The role is well-suited to a teacher who enjoys connecting classroom learning to practical business scenarios.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5
Preparing pupils for GCSE and potentially A-Level Business examinations
Supporting pupils in developing analytical and problem-solving skills
Monitoring pupil progress and providing clear constructive feedback
Contributing to the continued development of the Business curriculum
Supporting enterprise events careers activities and enrichment programmes
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the department
Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Business Studies
Be confident teaching GCSE Business with A-Level experience desirable
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
Be able to motivate pupils and connect learning to real-world examples
Work effectively as part of a collaborative teaching team
Be committed to continuous professional development
