Job Description
The GPVCM Manager is responsible for providing all aspects of supervision to individuals performing adverse events (AE) case management activities within GPVCM. The GPVCM Manager serves as a knowledgeable resource both in Pharmacovigilance and processes tied to AE processing. This position has a strong foundation in quality and compliance of AE processing and reporting and drives this understanding across team members. Responsibilities may include supervision of staff and interaction with individuals across multiple GPVCM sites under the guidance and direction of the Director in compliance with our Company Policies Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.
Responsibilities and Primary Activities:
Works closely with direct reports to set priorities develop career plans conduct periodic skill assessments coach for performance prepare promotion recommendations as appropriate and provide ongoing feedback and annual performance appraisals.
Monitors and interprets performance metrics to ensure that Compliance Quality and Productivity goals are met and work-life balance is maintained. Evaluates complexity of tasks and projects to anticipate and adjust for obstacles. Identifies and implements remediation strategies as appropriate.
Provides technical and process advice to direct reports ensuring they utilize appropriate resources for guidance.
Ensures structured team meetings with clear objectives and goals; facilitates meetings effectively and clearly communicates decisions and action items to team members and relevant parties outside of the team.
Provides input on organizational management of GPVCM resources to improve effectiveness and optimize utilization.
Provides developmental opportunities for direct reports including challenging growth assignments. Ensures direct reports receive appropriate training and mentoring to be successful in their assignments. Develops robust talent strategies in alignment with the business needs to manage holistic talent supply.
Leverages advanced analytics to analyze hiring trends turnover and applies appropriate strategy to retain and develop talent. Participates in the recruitment process.
Supports functional efforts to simplify and standardize procedures to the greatest extent possible sharing best practices and leading continuous improvement efforts.
May participate in initiatives beyond functional area (cross-functional initiatives etc.).
