Job Summary

Job Summary (List Format):

- Schedule: 5x8 hour shifts per week; shift times may vary based on department needs.
- Core Duties:
- Independently assist with ECMO cannulation for adult pediatric and neonatal patients.
- Perform and manage emergent cardiac procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in ECMO patient transport (required).
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Perfusionist.
- At least 1 year of experience using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- No first-time travelers; must have previous travel/per diem assignment experience.
- Equipment Requirements:
- Must have experience with Spectrum pump systems.
- Additional experience with Terumo System 1 Quest MPS 2/3 Cardioplegia ISTAT Centrimag Impella 5.5 Bellmont Hyperthermia Kit CardioHelp Angiovac CardioQuip HC.
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Clinical Perfusionist certification (ABCP)
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in a related field of study.
- Clinical Setting Experience Required:
- Cardiovascular OR (CVOR)
- General OR
- Pediatric CVOR and Pediatric General OR
- Trauma Level 1 facility experience
- Additional Details:
- Scrubs provided by the unit.
- Must discuss potential shift changes with manager during interview.
