Java software engineer Transfer

MUST HAVES:

• Web application development using Java Spring/SpringBoot
• RESTful API

We are seeking highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join its dynamic globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for design and development of Fidelitys DB Platform Applications at its North Carolina site.

The Team

Defined Benefits Platform team is in charge of developing and managing applications and databases that support pension plans on behalf of Fidelitys corporate clients their employees and retirees. The teams work in an agile fashion on Discretionary projects Infrastructure and platform modernization projects including public cloud migration application maintenance and production incident support.

In this role as a Senior Software Engineer you will interact with architecture and management to translate product requirements to technology solutions. You will be responsible for design and implementation of technical solutions to achieve business goals for the product offering.

The Skills You Bring

• 4 years of experience in Java application development using Java J2EE Spring and JavaScript.
• Excellent understanding of REST concepts and developing REST APIs using Spring boot with Tomcat
• Good experience in database tools and development using PL/SQL
• Experience in tools and methods to enable efficiency performance and agility through automating DevOps processes (Maven Jenkins Stash)
• Exposure to Agile development methodology
• Knowledge of public/private cloud capabilities including compute storage database
• Experience in handling C applications is a plus.
• UI development using Angular JavaScript HTML 5 is a plus
