Job Summary

AtlantiCare is seeking 1 Locum Advanced Practice Provider (NP with RNFA or PA) for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City NJ.

The site needs a provider ASAP through October covering 12-hour shifts (7 AM 7 PM or 7 PM 7 AM). No formal call is required but shift coverage may include weekends and nights as scheduled.

Practice Setting: Hospital-based

Coverage Location: Atlantic City NJ AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center

Dates of Coverage: ASAP through October 12-hour shifts (7 AM 7 PM or 7 PM 7 AM)

Reason for Coverage: Temporary covereage while the site seeks a full time provider.

Trauma Level/Designation: Level II

Will You Accept Providers Needing to Obtain State License Yes if they can meet the credentialing time frame

Schedule:

12-hour shifts (7 AM 7 PM or 7 PM 7 AM)
Coverage includes trauma alerts inpatient care OR and rounding
No formal call required though call ratio may vary

Required Procedures/Responsibilities:

Trauma alerts and surgical consultations
Admitting rounding and OR support for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery
Facilitating discharges ER admissions and house codes/rapid response team
Insertion of: Ventilation management Chest Tube Central Line Arterial Line PICC Line
Minor laceration suturing
Non-invasive ventilatory support (BiPAP/CPAP)

Supervision:

Supervising physician present in-house 24/7
APP will not work autonomously
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: temps have been approved- 30 days average

Travel Reimbursement:

Mileage only (provider must be local)

Requirement description :

NP or PA with RNFA (if NP) REQUIRED
Active New Jersey State License REQUIRED (must hold current license; cannot wait for licensing)
BLS ACLS and ATLS or ATCN Certifications REQUIRED
Experience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery REQUIRED
Proficiency in Trauma Alerts OR Support Inpatient Rounding and ER Admissions REQUIRED
Experience with Ventilation Management Chest Tube Central Line Arterial Line PICC Line Non-Invasive Vent Management (BiPAP/CPAP) and Minor Laceration Suturing REQUIRED
Experience Responding to ED for Trauma Alerts and Surgical Consultations REQUIRED
Supervising Physician Present 24/7; APP Will Not Work Autonomously REQUIRED
Experience with Cerner EMR PREFERRED
Self-Query NPDB (should be pulled within 30 days) REQUIRED at the time of presentation
