About the Opportunity

Star Nursing is seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist II to support advanced neurological testing in an acute care hospital setting.

This role focuses on performing EEG and complex neurodiagnostic procedures while supporting physicians and clinical teams in diagnosing neurological conditions.

Position Summary

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs routine and advanced electroencephalographic (EEG) procedures including long-term monitoring and intraoperative support. This role ensures accurate data collection patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG studies including routine and continuous EEG (cEEG) monitoring
  • Conduct advanced neurodiagnostic procedures:
    • Evoked potentials
    • Intraoperative monitoring
    • EMU and ambulatory EEG
  • Monitor electrode placement including specialized electrodes (depth grid strip sphenoidal)
  • Assist with WADA testing and cortical stimulation procedures
  • Ensure accurate documentation and data integrity
  • Collaborate with neurologists surgeons and clinical staff
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Minimum Qualifications

  • National certification (ABRET EEG or equivalent) required
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Minimum 1 year of neurodiagnostic experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with intraoperative monitoring
  • Training in evoked potentials
  • Experience in epilepsy monitoring units (EMU)
