Job Overview
A dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) to support a center-based classroom for students with Autism at Eagleview Elementary School. This is a short-term contract opportunity ideal for professionals experienced in early childhood special education.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized instruction to students with Autism in a center-based classroom setting (Grades K 3)
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals therapists and general education staff
  • Foster a safe structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
Classroom Details
  • Student Population: Kindergarten to Grade 3
  • Classroom Type: Center-based Autism program
  • Caseload: Approximately 10 students
Required Qualifications
  • Valid Special Education Teaching License (state-specific or eligible for Colorado licensure)
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and behavioral intervention strategies
  • Ability to manage a small specialized classroom effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
