Job Description:
- As a Sr Data Analyst you will play a key role in building and maintaining interactive dashboards and analytical assets for Thermo Kings customer-facing TracKing platform.
- This role requires deep experience in transforming complex datasets into intuitive actionable insights for external customers.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tableau including relationships LOD expressions and advanced calculations as well as a solid understanding of SQL and data modeling best practices.
- This position requires a detail oriented professional with strong analytical abilities excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high quality accurate dashboards that help customers make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards for the TracKing customer-facing platform.
- Simplify complex datasets into clear intuitive visualizations and analytical insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective dashboard solutions.
- Use advanced Tableau capabilities such as relationships LOD expressions parameter controls and complex calculations.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and analysis needs.
- Apply data modeling best practices to ensure scalable reliable analytics.
- Validate data accuracy and ensure dashboards reflect consistent high quality information.
- Document data sources calculations and dashboard logic for transparency and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot issues with dashboards data pipelines and data quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data engineering product management and customer support.
Technical Skills
- Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science Information Systems Business Analytics or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence roles.
- Strong proficiency with Tableau including relationships LOD functions and advanced visualization techniques.
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience writing complex queries.
- Experience with data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with ETL concepts data integration tools and operational data sources.
- Experience working with large datasets and optimizing queries for performance.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure AWS or GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is beneficial.
