Job Summary

IT Engineering Specialist Contractor (RDMC) - SUPPORT Role Overview & Requirements

Position: Instrument implementation specialist supporting lab automation
Education: High school diploma acceptable with relevant experience
Key focus: Physical instrument implementation not just software (LIMS/MES/Pasix)
- Must have hands-on instrument experience
- Laboratory automation background preferred
- Experience with Facex or MES systems valuable if combined with instrument work

Technical Environment & Architecture Support

Windows-based infrastructure transitioning to Windows 11 LTSC platform
IT architecture responsibilities:
- Assess vendor solutions for GMP environment compliance
- Design solution architecture following Gilead IT principles
- Support cloud migration initiatives for new instruments
- Work with solution engineers and enterprise architects
Instrument integration types:
1. Standalone instruments with internal data storage
2. Vendor-provided laptop systems
3. Company-provided computer connections

Project Structure & Scope

Project-driven work not task-based operations
Mix of global implementations across all sites and site-specific projects
Compliance-related activities based on business priorities
Collaboration with multiple business partner organizations
Vendor support for GMP environment implementations
