Job Summary

Job Title: Tech Business System Analyst

Location: Jersey City NJ (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

Reverse-engineer legacy and current commercial leasing applications to extract functional and technical requirements.
Identify and document distinct user roles their end-to-end journeys and associated reviewer actions within the application suite.
Decompose complex workflows and processes to clarify business objectives and technical implementation strategies.
Document all relevant data elements validation rules document handling requirements API endpoints integrations post-processing behaviors and dependencies.
Produce comprehensive business requirements documentation (BRD) that meets industry standards and supports downstream technical development UI and UX requirements
Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure requirements are actionable complete and aligned with business goals.
Provide detailed scenario-based examples from real-world projects to illustrate requirement interpretations and workflow decompositions
Comprehensive BRD-level documentation covering business requirements technical specifications process flows data elements validation rules documents APIs integrations reviewer actions and post-processing behaviors.
Scenario-based requirement examples and workflow decompositions that demonstrate practical understanding and application.
Clear mapping of user roles journeys and reviewer actions within the application suite

Skills:

Proven expertise in both technical and business analysis with the ability to bridge communication and requirement gaps between business and IT.
Extensive hands-on experience reverse-engineering existing enterprise applications and documenting their functional and technical architecture.
Demonstrated ability to decompose workflows analyze data structures and map API integrations in commercial lending or leasing environments.
Strong proficiency in creating BRD-level documentation including detailed process flows data mappings and integration specifications.
Practical scenario-based approach to requirements gathering and solution design with real-world examples from prior projects.
Ability to document reviewer actions post-processing behaviors and end-to-end user journeys beyond surface-level user experience.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business leaders developers QA and integration partners.
