Key Accountabilities
- Lead day to day activities of one or more project delivery teams ensuring alignment to software delivery processes and best practices. Provide IT oversight of project management activities and deliverables for project teams though all phases of the software development cycle. Works with the PMO Project Managers to define develop establish and maintain project management standards procedures project deliverables and metrics as followed:
- Engages in partnering with Architecture Product Owner and Business on product selection solution efforts and vendor selection to be alignment with IT Roadmaps and business strategy. Further ensures Architecture involvement in all projects as well as obtaining Architecture Level 2 diagrams for the project/initiative.
- Release Management (TRAC) responsible for all aspects of release management such as kick off interim pre-prod stages to ensure the project scope is approved by Governance as well as all of the milestones as part of delivery including CAB changes related to the SDLC. Captures all relevant electronic approvals for BRD Test UAT PROD Deployment Business validation and Go Live as part of the stage gates.
- Provides oversight in publishing of knowledge articles for Helpdesk as well as the Release notes for all the stakeholders by documenting the $B!F(Bbenefits$B!G(B with business impact and digitization value.
- Establishes Energy Gas BRM governance model for all projects/initiatives. Includes additional portfolio specific governance requirements (broader IT teams like CIT Maximo EBS etc.) as per their defined process.
- Establishes stakeholders for the projects and is responsible for all monthly Steering Committee meetings in which milestones financials issues and risk slides are reviewed monthly.
- Establishes baseline change board to manage all changes to scope schedule and cost that impact the baseline for the change management of project.
- Builds and maintain relationships with all the stakeholders (including product /platform /work-stream and service providers/vendors) to understand their needs goals and challenges as well as limitations.
- Financials responsible for tracking actuals forecasts and maintaining financial reviews against budget monthly including overages and favorability. Further this responsibility includes tracking purchase orders from start to end pertaining to the project (timely PO/Contract closure etc.)
- Documents the unbilled liabilities. Provides UBLs to IT Contract Management and BRM leader on a monthly basis for services and products/licenses.
- Creates all the project controls for the project such as RACI Project Charter project controls workbook Stakeholder register Actions Risks Issues and Decisions Project Schedule Status Reports (4-block).
- Establishes regular Weekly Status Project Team level Bi-Weekly Manager level and Monthly Steering Director level meetings (as applicable) in advance as part of the governance and project controls with stakeholders. As part of these scheduled meetings a standing agenda should be established where Schedule Actions Risks/Issues and Decisions are discussed along with meeting minutes are distributed within 24 hours of the meeting.
- Ensures requirements are thoroughly documented in a business requirements document and requirements matrix as required. Further obtain documented commitment from product/platform teams other IT and business team and service providers for their accountability and agreed upon deliverables.
- SOW Responsible for ensuring the SOW captures all requirements as per the BRD and/or requirements traceability matrix includes milestones for SDLC and Testing. Also ensure that all of the relevant stakeholders of the project review these.
- Serves as primary Vendor relationship liaison between all areas of the business and IT. Reviews the vendor quotes invoices and approves it and requests BRM leader approval so that invoices could be receipted in timely manner.
- Works to ensure IPS Supply Chain and other subject matter experts are involved as to ensure compliance and other industry standards are met. i.e. VSRQ for new vendor as well as new product/service and periodic renewal of VSRQ as needed.
- Solution delivery: Even when there is PMO participation DL is responsible for ensuring that the solution passes Quality Assurance Unit Functional Regression Performance and UAT and delivered before transition to production support for handoff session(s). Engages the required QA resources.
- Obtains feedback throughout the process to ensure project efforts meet customer time/cost/performance expectations. Serves as Subject Matter Expert to the assigned portfolio. Works in conjunction with technical experts vendors and business analysts in influencing technology selection/direction to determine if a standard or custom solution is required. Ensures the alignment with the TPP for the portfolio. Acts as a liaison between business unit and IT teams to plan and coordinate solution delivery work activities in the most cost effective and efficient means.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with a diverse group of executives managers and SMEs within IT and business unit groups.
- Collaborates with project team members project managers and leadership to avoid and resolve conflicts.
- Communicates technically complex issues in simple terms for various audiences.
- Oversees the system development and release management process as well as client/customer vendor relationships to ensure service expectations are met as per the SLAs. Works with business units to prepare for project implementation coordinating communication plans process changes and training. Initiates innovative ideas and approaches independently as well as in collaboration with Innovation teams. Utilizes Continuous Improvement (CI) to improve current processes/approaches. Identify opportunities for process improvement automation and digitization. Provide support and/or lead project related CAR (Corrective Action Review) and Problem Resolution. Updates the CI Repository (Countermeasure sheet) accordingly. Ensure a smooth transition to Sustainment (Asset Health) for L1/L2/L3 support by collaborating on documentation and knowledge transfer. Conducts After Action Reviews (AAR) after each delivery and compiles the data-points for BRM Reflections sessions.

- Advanced knowledge/experience with defining tracking and analyzing metrics.
- Consulting and influencing skills consistent with the ability to build relationships and influence parties; may include getting parties to embrace changing expectations and initiatives.
- May be required to work on-call and provide off-hours support.

- Ability to engage in persuasive interaction with senior and executive leadership
