Job Summary
We are seeking a VMware Administrator with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI / OC3) and cloud migration tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing deploying and managing VMware environments while playing a key role in migration initiatives using RackWare (mandatory) and Oracle REDREI frameworks.
This role requires a blend of VMware infrastructure management OCI cloud operations and migration expertise to support enterprise-scale cloud transformation projects.Key Responsibilities
VMware Infrastructure Management
-
Design deploy and manage VMware environments (vSphere ESXi vCenter)
-
Monitor system performance availability and capacity planning
-
Perform troubleshooting patching and upgrades of VMware infrastructure
Oracle Cloud (OCI / OC3) Administration
-
Manage OCI resources including:
-
Compute instances
-
Block Volumes & Boot Volumes
-
Custom Images & Shapes
-
-
Work with OCI Console and OCI CLI for administration and automation
-
Ensure performance scalability and reliability of OCI environments
Migration & Transformation (Critical)
-
Lead and support cloud migration activities using RackWare (MANDATORY)
-
Execute migration strategies using Oracle REDREI framework
-
Plan and perform:

Workload migrations
-
Data transfers
-
Application cutover activities
-

Validate migration success and ensure minimal downtime
Automation & DevOps

Implement automation using:

Terraform
-
Ansible
-

Improve deployment efficiency and reduce manual effort

Develop scripts and automation workflows for infrastructure provisioning
Monitoring & Optimization

Monitor system health and performance across VMware and OCI
-
Optimize infrastructure for:

Performance

Cost efficiency

Resource utilization

Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with infrastructure application and migration teams

Maintain detailed documentation SOPs and architecture diagrams

Participate in migration planning testing and execution phases
Required Skills & Experience

8-10 years of experience in VMware Administration / Cloud Infrastructure

Strong expertise in:

VMware (vSphere ESXi vCenter)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI / OC3)

Hands-on experience with:

OCI Compute Block Volumes Boot Volumes Custom Images

OCI Console and CLI
