Job Description:
The Logs and Records Administrator is responsible for overseeing controlling analyzing reporting on and maintaining all Aircraft Logs and Records in an up-to-date status while aircraft are undergoing Depot Maintenance or while inducted for modifications as directed by government contracts.
Essential Functions:
- Compile and release required reports in accordance with applicable technical directives and contractual statement of works which have significant impact on the business operations.
- Analyze and report any discrepancies to program POCs as required. Provide required solutions in accordance with applicable technical data and FAR direction. Correct discrepancies as required to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Conduct in-depth aircraft records investigations regarding missing incomplete or contradictory information received from the customer to reconcile. The data is analyzed for root-cause corrective action before the aircraft is returned to flight status.
- Interface with program office and customer as needed concerning maintenance issues and assist in developing corrective action plans.
- Account for all records upon induction of aircraft.
- Analyze incoming discrepancies and Post Flight Cards for correct data and trending.
- Verify and analyze accumulated Equipment Operation Record time on APU/Engines/Propeller and make changes as required.
- Review aircraft records received in accordance with applicable technical direction (both commercial and military application).
- Update and maintain records daily in accordance with applicable technical direction (commercial and military application).
- Provide data input to applicable databases as required to maintain accurate record keeping.
- Review and maintain a Monthly Maintenance Plan cataloging required scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements to include: outstanding applicable technical directives compliance high time components Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins.
- Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Requires an Active DOD Secret Security Clearance.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of aircraft records requirements is required.
- Working knowledge of Maintenance Manuals and Technical library operation.
- Experience working in a Depot Level maintenance and modification environment is preferred.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient in MS office (Excel Word Powerpoint)
