Working Student – Risk Management to support BU Solar & Batteries in BA Wind

For our Vattenfall Business Control department we are now looking for a

Working Student Risk Management (Quality Check & Risk Assessment Scheduling) to support BU Solar & Batteries in BA Wind

for our office in Berlin.
 
Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfalls Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like Solar and Batteries. Today we develop construct and operate wind generation in Sweden Denmark Germany the Netherlands and the addition we - have a clear strategy to develop our Solar and Batteries operations further.

Project Objective:

We are looking for a Working Student to support Risk Management activities for hybrid parks (Solar Battery) with a strong focus on quality assurance of risk documentation and planning/scheduling risk assessments and workshops.

As working student in the Controlling Risk Management you will have the following key tasks:

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Assessment (QA) Control (QC)
  • Perform structured quality checks on risk registers action logs workshop minutes and risk manager reports (completeness consistency traceability version control).
  • Validate data quality (e.g. missing treatment action logic checks naming conventions duplicates) and raise issues proactively.
• Risk Assessment Planning & Scheduling
  • Using MS Project to do Plan and schedule risk assessments/workshops with internal and external stakeholders (calendar coordination invitations agendas logistics follow-ups).
  • Track open actions due dates and escalation triggers; ensure timely closure and documentation.
• Documentation & Process Support
  • Maintain templates checklists and process documentation; continuously improve Work in Smart.
  • Support reporting: weekly/monthly status updates risk manager report and preparation of management-ready materials.
• On-site support (when needed)
  • Occasional travel to sites for Hybrid construction site and workshops/audits and coordination support.

Qualifications :

Your profile

• Currently enrolled at a university (Bachelor/Master) and at least one or plus years to finish the study in Engineering /Business/ Finance or similar.
• German language: C1 level with official certification (e.g. Goethe telc TestDaF DSH)
• Driving license: valid Class B driving license and willingness to drive to sites if required.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to execute quality checks with a structured mindset.
• Good organizational skills: reliable scheduling follow-ups and stakeholder coordination.

Nice-to-have

• First exposure to risk management quality management audits or project controls.
• Experience with risk registers issue trackers or document control systems (e.g. SharePoint).
• English business fluency (for international stakeholders).
• Interest in renewable energy / solar / battery projects.
