Job Summary

The Consultant Engineer will be working within the Connected Powertrain team as part of the Powertrain Engineering group at a leading OEM and will contribute to the development of innovative digital & data analysis solutions for hybrid & electric vehicles to support battery product development. One of the key objectives of the team is to ensure high voltage battery data recording from mass market vehicles for R&D purposes and regulatory compliance.

For the assigned project the main responsibilities will include:

1. High Voltage Battery Data Recording for R&D Purpose:

  • Solution Testing: Test and validate battery data recording solutions for current and future vehicle platforms across mass market vehicle fleet
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure all data recording activities comply with GDPR data privacy regulations and automotive industry standards
  • Data Quality Management: Assess data quality perform data cleaning validation and execute necessary calculations to ensure data integrity and reliability
  • Monitoring Dashboard Development: Design and develop comprehensive dashboards to monitor data collection status track recording completeness and identify potential gaps or issues in real-time

2. Ensure EU7 and Battery Passport Regulatory Compliance:

  • Signal Identification: Identify and document all signals to be monitored which are relevant for regulations.
  • Logic Development: Design and develop logic and algorithms for battery durability target confirmation.
  • Signals Quality Check Logic: Design and implement automated logic for signals quality check anomaly detection and data validation to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Brand Risk Management: Design and develop logic for brand image risk management.

3. Stakeholder Reporting & Communication:

  • Prepare and deliver regular technical reports and presentations on tool development regulatory compliance status and key findings to stakeholders within the OEM organization.
  • Communicate complex data insights in a clear concise and visual manner tailored to different audiences.

4. Team Support & Technical Expertise:

  • Serve as the data expert and technical reference for battery data analytics within the team.
  • Contribute actively to the teams overall objectives provide analytical support for problem-solving and collaborate with cross-functional divisions.

 


Qualifications :

Profile:

We are looking for a profile with strong analytical technical problem-solving and fast-learning capabilities; with the ability to translate complex data into valuable insights ensure regulatory compliance defend technical points in meetings with clients and stakeholders foresee the impact of data-driven decisions and work in a methodological way.   • Hands-on experience with data cleaning methods data analytics and post-processing and dashboarding for visualization on Python is required.
  • Strong interest in battery control logic development with current knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in the battery/electrification domain.
  • Advanced programming skills with Python (pandas numpy scikit-learn matplotlib seaborn) is required.
  • Experience with time-series analysis statistical modelling and anomaly detection for battery performance and health monitoring is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of legal requirements related to data and cloud architectures is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of EU automotive regulations (EU7 Battery Passport Regulation) and understanding of battery technologies is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to summarize and explain complex information in a simple and visual way. Capability to monitor progress schedule activities and report efficiently.

Education

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Engineering (Electrical Mechanical Automotive) or Computer Science or related technical field

Languages

  • Fluent in English.
  • Other languages will be an asset.
