Identify update and maintain property record cards and assessments for all taxable and nontaxable parcels of real estate in the county
Update and maintain information on mobile homes which are taxed under the Mobile Home Local Services Act (Privilege Tax)
Maintains County tax maps
Maintain property ownership and address changes Complete all PTAX-203 forms recorded with deeds and forward to the Department of Revenue
Maintain all homestead and non-homestead exemptions
Manages the notification of assessment changes to taxpayers and publishes assessments in newspapers
Works under the directives of the Department of Revenue and provides them with information
Serves as the Clerk of the County Board of Review to ensure Board of Review actions decision notices publications and complaints are processed in a timely manner and have met the statutory requirements
Qualifications :
Must possess one of the following qualifications as certified by the Department of Revenue:
- An active Certified Illinois Assessing Officer designation from the Illinois Property Assessment Institute
- An active AAS CAE or MAS designation
- An active MAI SREA SRPA SRA or RM designation from the Appraisal Institute
Must have had at least 2 years experience in the field of property sales assessments finance or appraisals and must have passed an examination conducted by the Department of Revenue to determine his/her competence to hold the office.

Annual salary range $70000.00 - 73000.00 based on experience and qualifications
15 paid company holidays
