Foodbuy is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to provide highquality commercial insight and analytical support to our procurement and sourcing teams.
About the Role
This role is critical in supporting sourcing events supplier negotiations and contracting activities through robust data analysis commercial modelling and performance tracking. You will partner closely with senior procurement and finance stakeholders acting as a trusted commercial advisor and helping drive value across Foodbuys procurement portfolios.
This is a handson analytical role with strong exposure to senior decisionmakers ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex data and influencing outcomes through insight rather than people management.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Procurement Analytics
- Provide commercial and analytical support across Foodbuy procurement portfolios.
- Deliver valuebased insights to inform sourcing negotiation and contracting decisions.
- Perform net pricing scenario leakage and inflation analysis.
- Develop financial and pricing models to support sourcing events and deal structuring.
- Provide commercial insight and challenge during contract reviews.
- Track deal and contract performance against forecast outcomes.
- Analyse and report on procurement initiatives pipeline activity and usage trends.
Commercial Modelling & Data Capability
- Develop and maintain commercial models and templates tailored to procurement categories and events.
- Support supplier tenders by assisting with commercial models and value criteria.
- Maintain product cost mapping including detailed supplychain value breakdowns.
- Translate complex datasets into clear actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Use tools such as Excel Tableau SQL and Microsoft Access to support analysis and reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement & Ways of Working
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to Procurement Finance and broader business stakeholders.
- Communicate insights clearly and professionally to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Build strong working relationships within the Foodbuy commercial and procurement teams.
- Contribute to a collaborative servicefocused team culture.
- Participate in commercial projects aimed at improving business performance and reducing costs.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in STEM Finance Economics or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of product pricing costing and commercial principles.
- Advanced Excel capability (including lookups pivot tables and financial modelling).
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate commercial insights.
- Sound business acumen with clear professional communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience in procurement sourcing negotiation or contracting environments.
- Exposure to Tableau SQL and/or Microsoft Access.
- Experience within food catering FMCG or a related industry.
- Degree in Supply Chain or relevant CIPS qualification.
- 12 years postgraduate experience in an analytical commercial or procurementfocused role.
