Job Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Walsall to assist with the appointment of a Finance & Compliance Monitoring Officer on a 12-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 20.65 - 26.25 per hour
Summary:
The Finance Compliance & Monitoring Officer will play a key role in supporting the Programme Management team in the financial delivery of externally funded projects. The role involves financial monitoring compliance checks forecasting and reporting ensuring all funding is managed in line with regulations and delivers value for money.
Responsibilities:
- Support the financial delivery of programmes and projects including forecasting budget profiling and monitoring performance indicators
- Assess review and process financial claims ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Maintain financial databases and ensure all records are up to date and audit-ready
- Coordinate financial processes for project approvals and grant awards
- Ensure compliance with funding body requirements financial regulations and audit standards
- Monitor project expenditure and identify risks escalating where necessary
Qualification:
- Degree/HND or an equivalent financial related NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience
Essentials:
- Strong knowledge of financial monitoring compliance frameworks and audit processes
- Experience working with funding streams grants or project-based financial management
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Strong communication presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
