Opportunity Overview
AP Recruiters & Associates a veteran-owned staffing firm serving clients since 2007 is seeking a detail-driven Business Services Technician to support procurement and accounts payable operations for a leading organization in the energy sector. This is an on-site contract role ideal for someone with 12 years of experience in procurement AP or administrative finance who thrives in a fast-paced compliance-driven environment. Youll collaborate across multiple departments and play a key role in keeping business operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage Purchase Orders with attention to commercial content and risk mitigation
- Process Work Cycles and MR 11 transactions accurately and efficiently
- Support the Jira service desk and respond to urgent requests in a timely manner
- Perform month-end activities and maintain compliance with SOX controls and procedures
- Resolve vendor issues and communicate clearly with all stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering Operations IT Accounts Payable and the Integrated Supply Chain
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in Procurement Accounts Payable or an administrative finance function
- General understanding of procurement and accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and a process improvement mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- SAP experience is a plus; Jira familiarity is a bonus
