Position Overview
An established healthcare provider is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its Acute Rehabilitation Unit. This role focuses on helping patients regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities following illness or injury. The therapist will work across multiple care settings including acute care inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence
- Deliver therapeutic interventions that support daily living activities and mobility
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient-centered care
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment use
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure a safe and effective treatment environment
- Support patient progress across acute inpatient and outpatient settings as needed
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Flexibility to support various departments (ARU outpatient inpatient med/surg)
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care rehabilitation or outpatient settings
- Ability to adapt across multiple care environments
