Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a hybrid inpatient rehab and outpatient role in Quitman MS.
This position is based in a small critical access hospital where the therapist will primarily treat outpatient cases while also supporting inpatient rehab services. Responsibilities include patient evaluations treatment planning and assisting with inpatient coverage such as evaluations and supervisory visits.
The role offers a mix of clinical exposure in both outpatient and inpatient settings within a collaborative environment.

Total Beds: 20 (dual-certified acute care & swing beds)
Work Setting: Hybrid (Outpatient Inpatient Rehab support)
Charting System: Epic
Clinical Coverage Areas
Therapists will provide care for:
Outpatient rehabilitation (primary focus)
Inpatient rehab / swing bed patients
Orthopedic and post-surgical cases
General mobility and functional impairments
Adult and geriatric populations
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient evaluations and functional mobility assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans
Deliver therapeutic exercises gait training and rehabilitation interventions
Manage approximately 89 patient visits per day
Assist with inpatient evaluations and PTA supervisory visits (6th visits)
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation (Epic)
Educate patients and caregivers on recovery and home programs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Required Qualifications
Active Mississippi Physical Therapist License
BLS Certification (AHA)
Minimum 1 year of experience
Epic charting experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in both outpatient and inpatient rehab settings
Strong adaptability in hybrid roles
Experience working in smaller or rural hospitals
Scheduling & Assignment Details
40 hours guaranteed per week
Monday Friday schedule
Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
No weekends or on-call requirements
Orientation: 8 hours
Important Notes
Position is primarily outpatient with required inpatient support
Facility is a small 20-bed critical access hospital
Emergency Team Requirement (Ochsner Policy):
Therapists may be assigned to an emergency response team and required to remain onsite during emergency events or serve as relief staff
No local candidates accepted (must live >65 miles away)
First-time travelers accepted
RTO must be submitted upfront and discussed during interview
Compliance Requirements
Candidates must complete all onboarding and compliance requirements including:
Active state licensure verification
BLS certification (AHA required)
Skills checklist and competency validation
Completion of orientation and modules (billable)
Supervisor references required prior to start
