Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an acute care hospital setting in Bryan TX.
The Physical Therapist will primarily perform patient evaluations and deliver rehabilitation services across a variety of inpatient units. This role focuses on improving mobility restoring function and supporting recovery for patients with complex medical conditions.
The therapist will work in a fast-paced hospital environment and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Clinical Coverage Areas
Therapists will provide care for patients in:
Telemetry units
Orthopedic and surgical units
Critical care / ICU
Neurology
Oncology
General medical units
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient evaluations (primary focus of role)
Develop individualized treatment plans
Deliver therapeutic exercises and mobility interventions
Perform up to 1 evaluation per hour or 10 treatments per shift
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation (MEDITECH)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and families on recovery and mobility strategies
Assist with patient discharge planning
Required Qualifications
Active Texas Physical Therapist License
BLS Certification
Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
Strong clinical and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in acute care hospital settings
Experience working in trauma or high-acuity environments
Familiarity with MEDITECH EMR
Scheduling & Assignment Details
40 hours guaranteed per week
Day Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: 2 full weekends per month (with comp days during the week)
Possible 3 weekends during 5-week months
No on-call requirements
Important Notes
Primary focus on evaluations (high productivity expectations)
May be asked to precept students or staff as needed
Floating required (primarily within Bryan hospital; minimal coverage at College Station facility)
Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may impact assignment continuation
Radius Rule: Candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilities within the past 12 months
Interview Process: Profiles submitted directly to unit for review
Compliance Requirements
Candidates must complete all onboarding and compliance requirements including:
Active state licensure verification
BLS certification
Skills checklist and competency validation
Orientation (35 days covering EMR and hospital protocols)
