Job Summary

Vanguard is seeking a seasoned and successful sales professional with deep relationships in the Bank Private Wealth market within our dedicated Bank team as a Market Director. This role is part of a senior sales team and maintains partnership with an internal sales executive. You will be responsible for the Southeast territory inclusive of key states such as Florida Georgia North Carolina and Texas. You will be responsible for territory strategy and management pipeline development and day-to-day execution across a dedicated book of clients and prospects.

You will represent an institutionalgrade investment platform with established credibility among large sophisticated private banks. This role offers the opportunity to influence meaningful channellevel sales outcomes while obtaining exposure to senior internal and external leadership. Success is measured by strategic market penetration share growth the durability of partnerships and the scale and quality of outcomes delivered.

As theMarket Director your focus will be on thegrowth and retention of assets among Bank Private Wealth investment professionals with $750M in AUM. This model is designed to enable deeper more strategic engagement with a high-priority book. You will drive market share and net cash flow by executing custom sales strategies tailored to the unique needs of professional buyers.

What it takes

  • Generates and deepens relationships with Bank Private Wealth investment professionals managing $750M in AUM with at least 60% of interactions in-person. Seeks to understand the philosophy structure and strategic priorities of each client acting as a trusted advisor in aligning Vanguards capabilities with client needs.
  • Drives results and outcomes with a strong emphasis on fixed income solutions and custom strategy execution. Delivers key messages through targeted engagements including in-person meetings virtual meetings phone calls and participation in national regional and local events.
  • Builds and maintains a pipeline of high-quality sales opportunities evidencing wins regularly within a curated client set.
  • Demonstrates deep expertise in capital markets investment management and industry trends. Leverages this knowledge to position Vanguards offerings credibly and consultatively especially in areas where we aim to disruptlike fixed income.
  • Develops and executes a strategic sales plan focused on depth over breadth enabling stronger retention loyalty and asset growth.
  • Builds strong relationships across the client not just with investment decision-makers but across entire organizations. Supports event strategy expands fields of play and helps bring the full breadth of Vanguard to each client.
  • Collaborates closely with internal sales partners sharing ownership of territory strategy prospecting and execution. Coaches and supports less experienced sales executives and internal stakeholders.
  • Works closely and effectively with internal investment specialists to expand and deepen client relationships.
  • Embraces technology and experimentation to enhance the sales process and client experience. Uses data and insights to prioritize efforts and optimize territory performance.
  • Efficiently manages administrative responsibilities and contributes meaningfully to Vanguards corporate initiativeshelping shape strategy drive execution and support adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten years related experience. At least 3 years of experience selling to banks preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 required.

Special Factors

  • Role requires either living in territory or operating from either our Malvern PA or Charlotte NC office location.
  • Territory covers the Southeast notably states of Florida Georgia North Carolina and Texas.
  • Existing relationships and connectivity to these markets are preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of fixed income markets and fixed income investment landscape preferred.
  • CFA or similar investment credentials preferred.
