Position: Cloud Systems Engineer Sportsbook
Location: Las Vegas NV (Onsite)

Position Overview
Fusion HCR is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to support and expand high-availability infrastructure in a fast-paced real-time environment.
This is a hands-on systems engineering role with a strong focus on infrastructure cloud platforms and networking. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting production environments and can contribute to the design build and expansion of infrastructure across multiple environments.
Candidates should be comfortable discussing how they would stand up new environments including connectivity system deployment and operational readiness not just day-to-day support.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
- Design deploy and support infrastructure across:
- Microsoft Azure
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Support containerized applications within AKS/Kubernetes environments
- Assist with scaling performance tuning and system reliability
Infrastructure & Networking
- Design and support secure connectivity between environments (VPN tunnels routing segmentation)
- Work with cloud networking components (VNETs subnets gateways routing tables security groups)
- Support hybrid environments spanning on-prem and cloud infrastructure
- Maintain core services including Active Directory DNS DHCP and Group Policy
Environment Build & Expansion
- Participate in building and deploying new environments using established infrastructure patterns
- Assist in extending infrastructure into new regions or environments
- Support replication and scaling of infrastructure across multiple environments
- Contribute to onboarding new systems or locations into existing architecture
Systems & Database Support
- Support and maintain core infrastructure services and enterprise systems
- MSSQL (including Hyperscale)
- Oracle
- PostgreSQL
Operations & Reliability
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for production systems in a 24/7 environment
- Monitor system health performance and availability
- Support incident response and root cause analysis
- Maintain backup archiving and disaster recovery processes
Collaboration & Documentation
- Partner with architects and senior engineers on system design and improvements
- Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and vendors
- Document systems configurations and operational procedures
Qualifications
- 47 years of experience in Systems Engineering Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering
- Microsoft Azure
- AWS (working knowledge)
- Kubernetes / AKS (supporting environments)
Strong understanding of:
- Networking fundamentals (VPNs routing connectivity)
- Infrastructure services (AD DNS DHCP GPO)
- Experience supporting production high-availability environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Experience contributing to environment builds or multi-site deployments
- Experience supporting real-time or mission-critical systems
- Exposure to cloud automation or Infrastructure-as-Code
- Azure or AWS certifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
OR equivalent hands-on experience

- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with gaming regulations
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Ability to work onsite in Las Vegas NV
