Job Summary
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Brake Press Setup / Operator with strong knowledge of machine setup programming and bending processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amada brake press machines and a solid understanding of bend allowance calculations to ensure precision and quality in metal fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate brake press machines (Amada preferred)

Perform machine programming and adjustments based on job requirements

Calculate and apply bend allowances and deductions accurately

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
-
Inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances
-
Select appropriate tooling and perform machine setups for different jobs

Troubleshoot issues and make necessary corrections during production
-
Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation

Meet production targets and deadlines
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 years of brake press setup and operation experience
-
Experience with Amada brake press machines preferred

Strong understanding of machine programming and setup

Knowledge of bend allowance and bend deduction calculations

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work in an afternoon shift environment
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with sheet metal fabrication

Familiarity with different tooling and materials

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
