Job Overview

The North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) program is seeking an experienced Curam Reports Developer with strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI to support Medicaid reporting projects.

The developer will design build and maintain Medicaid reporting solutions semantic models and dashboards to meet evolving business needs. This position will collaborate closely with NC FAST business and Medicaid teams to develop reports resolve defects and enhance the reporting framework.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain Medicaid reporting solutions and data models.
Utilize Oracle PL/SQL and Azure Synapse Analytics to build robust data pipelines.
Configure and optimize data warehouses and ETL processes.
Develop test and maintain reports using BIRT within the IBM Curam framework.
Build analytics and dashboards using Power BI integrated with Azure Synapse.
Lead and mentor reporting developers on ETL design error handling and data integration best practices.
Work collaboratively with NC FAST teams to support enhancements change requests and backlog items.
Ensure compliance with structured system development methodologies and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

5 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL and Relational Database modeling.
Strong understanding of relational databases (tables views indexes users grants etc.).
5 years of experience building and managing data warehouses and ETL processes (Oracle OWB ODI etc.).
5 years of experience developing large-scale web-based distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics - including pipelines SQL pools and Spark pools.
Experience with Python PySpark and SparkSQL in Azure Cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence tools especially BIRT and Power BI.
Excellent ability to prioritize tasks follow technical procedures and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

2 years of experience with Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects BIRT).
2 years of Data Warehouse experience.
4 years of experience working with the IBM Curam product.
Strong SQL and analytical skills.
Prior experience in state government or Medicaid-related systems preferred.
