Job Summary

Coordinator/Supervisor Communications and Marketing

JOB DESCRIPTION: To lead and provide the planning coordination and execution of all district communication efforts. This role oversees internal and external communications including media relations branding crisis communication and digital platforms ensuring clear consistent and timely messaging. The position performs a variety of creative and professional communication services with an emphasis on research analysis development implementation and evaluation of strategic communication initiatives. This position also fosters strong community partnerships and promotes district programs to support student enrollment engagement and public trust.

QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in communications marketing community relations or related field preferred. At least two years experience in school-based communications community relations marketing or related field desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a comprehensive communication plan to create community and parent relations grow relationships increase student enrollment and expand resources.
  • Work with Principals to develop school-based communication plans to assist school sites with community and parent relations grow relationships increase student enrollment and expand resources.
  • Support the implementation of strategic internal and external community relations and marketing campaigns using social media.
  • Facilitate and implement an evaluation component for each communication campaign.
  • Conduct customer and market research and analyze data to determine the most impactful and cost-effective means of facilitating communication.
  • Assist in the development of communications and community relations strategies for emerging specialty schools to gain exposure support community needs and drive enrollment.
  • Maintain strategic involvement with District administration principals and department leaders in developing both short-term and long-term communications and community relations goals to expand resources and ensure brand consistency.
  • Confer and consult with department officials and other agency personnel in identifying trends key interest groups and constituent concerns.
  • Maintain databases and work with stakeholders to further the Districts communications and community relations efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SALARY: Twelve-month position administrative salary schedule level 95 (coordinator) or support staff salary schedule level 39 (supervisor) (based on degree and experience) and employee benefits in accordance with Board policies.

EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of administrative personnel.
