Experienced Structural / Civil Engineer (Contract Basis)
Christchurch South Island Coverage
EFI Global a division of Sedgwick is seeking an experienced engineer to support investigation and assessment work across Christchurch and the wider South Island. This opportunity is ideally suited to a retired or semiretired engineer looking for flexible meaningful contract work without the demands of fulltime practice.
About the Role
This is a contract engagement offering genuine flexibility typically 13 days per week with workload varying week to week. The role is primarily Christchurchbased with occasional travel across the South Island and the odd overnight stay when required.
Youll draw on your technical expertise to support investigationfocused engineering work particularly within an insurance or forensic context.
About You
This role would suit someone with:
A background in structural engineering or civil experience
CPEng registration preferred though this is flexible depending on depth of experience
Previous experience in insurancerelated investigations highly regarded
(experience following the Canterbury earthquakes would be particularly valuable)
A pragmatic independent working style and strong professional judgement
Christchurchbased with the ability to travel as required
