The mission of this position is to help all of Gods children fulfill their divinely appointed responsibility to discover their families through inspired family history experiences and where possible submit their names for temple ordinances and help bring souls unto Christ. This role accomplishes that purpose through inspired support of FamilySearch centers around the world. This position is part-time up to 28 hours/week and can completed with a remote or hybrid work arrangement depending on candidate preference.
This internship supports the team that manages these locations by participating in the design creation management training and problem-solving of websites for FamilySearch centers. The role will also help with blog articles that are helpful for FamilySearch Center Coordinators and other projects as they come up.
This role should be approached each day with a heart for excellent service and a willingness to serve patrons of FamilySearch international. Leadership and open communication are expected in each aspect of the work. Must be coachable and not shy away from difficult conversations.
Regular attendance for required meetings and timely arrival at the assigned work location is required to accomplish this role successfully. The role is currently hybrid but may change at any time. You must be self-motivated and able to accomplish task without a lot of oversight.
50% Assisting FSCs with website updates and creation.
20% Assisting on creation and finding of articles for the blog for FamilySearch Center Coordinators.
10% Assisting on other projects as they come up.
10% Strategy and enhancement of the FamilySearch centers communication experience.
10% Personal and professional development
Excellent oral written website interpersonal and presentation skills. Kind patient effective and joyful in serving others. Experience with FamilySearch Family Tree is preferred but not required. Experience with copy editing BrightSpot or a CMS like it is preferred. Understanding of UX design is a bonus. Must be reliable and able to work independently.
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
This position is based on the U.S. and all work performed most be completed in the U.S.
