Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Operator in Charlotte NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and suspicious activity document observations and provide professional customer service through clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to branch personnel visitors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to alarms incidents and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and document actions taken per site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the financial services location including lobbies ATM areas offices and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification monitoring entry points and/or coordinating with site contacts regarding visitor management procedures.
- Complete required reports such as shift logs incident reports and patrol documentation and communicate notable observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Have supervisory experience.
- Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
