Job Summary

Location(s):Barack Obama Elementary School located at 12700 Brook Lane Upper Marlboro MD

Pay: $17.50

Hours: Monday through Friday 1pm-6pm

Looking for a part-time role that fits around the school day

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day summer and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day.

For those who have experience working with students the Group Leader role offers the opportunity to shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn grow and thrive.

Were looking for an early learning professional who:

Enjoys working with children in a structured high-energy environment
Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
Is flexible reliable and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role you will:

Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages STEAM Fitness Maker and Arts)
Make child safety the top priority at all times
Keep the space clean and organized
Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
Build strong relationships with teammates kids families and school staff

This role is ideal for educators with experience in:

Teaching or classroom leadership
Youth programs
Staff supervision or team leadership

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required
CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
90 HOUR CERTIFICATION NEEDED 45 HOURS GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT 45 HOURS SCHOOL AGE CURRICULUM
