The Group Reservations Manager leads and oversees all group reservation operations within the Groups & Conventions department. This role serves as the strategic point of contact for Meeting Planners and Convention Services Managers ensuring flawless execution of all reservation-related components of group business. The manager is responsible for driving operational excellence maintaining contractual compliance optimizing room block performance and fostering strong internal and external relationships.
HOW ITS DONE
- Lead the end-to-end management of group room blocks ensuring accuracy compliance with contractual terms and timely execution of all reservation requirements.
- Establish and maintain operational standards workflows and performance expectations for the Group Reservations team.
- Oversee the integrity of data entry and system usage across platforms such as Opera and Marsha
- Serve as the primary liaison between Sales Convention Services Front Office and other operational departments to ensure seamless group execution.
- Lead and participate in key meetings including pre-conferences group fact sheet reviews pick-up analyses and post-event evaluations.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Meeting Planners ensuring proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Manage VIP arrangements upgrades special requests and rooming list requirements with precision and attention to detail with Conventions Department.
- Monitor pick-up trends room block performance and identify risks and opportunities.
- Recommend process improvements system enhancements and operational efficiencies to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction
- Provide coaching guidance and continuous feedback to Group Coordinators and other team members.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning opportunities related to systems procedures and customer service.
- Foster a collaborative high-performance team culture aligned with hotel standards.
- Strong command of Opera and Marsha
- Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams manage multiple priorities and make strategic decisions.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and customer-centric approach.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours based on hotel events and operational needs.
Hours:
Standard schedule is 09:00 to 17:00 with flexibility required depending on group activity and hotel events.
