Full time 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On Call weekends
Hybrid: Primarily in Grand Rapids Wyoming Cascade and surrounding areas as needed.
Job Summary
As a member of the nursing team with Corewell Health providing top-notch patient care is paramount. Youll be responsible for the care of our patients according to their individual plans unit routines and hospital policies. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse youll be a vital part of our team making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Essential Functions
- Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
- Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing bathing transporting and feeding.
- Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
- Maintains patients environment/work area/equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
- Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
- Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
- Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course
- Drivers License within the State of Michigan
- CRT - Nursing Assistant Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Bureau of Community and Health Systems upon hire
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross Corewell Health Continuing Care (except Hospice) including Regional Rehab and Nursing Centers Lakeland Continuing Care Caring Circle Hospice 90 Days
