Position Overview
Were looking for a Marine Technician with strong Suzuki outboard experience (or the drive to become a Suzuki-certified expert). In this role youll be responsible for diagnosing servicing rigging and maintaining Suzuki-powered boats to the highest standard. Youll play a key role in ensuring every customer leaves confident in their vesseland comes back because of your work.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair Suzuki outboard engines (DF series and newer models)
- Perform routine service including oil changes impellers tune-ups and inspections
- Use Suzuki Diagnostic System (SDS) to troubleshoot engine performance issues
- Rig and install Suzuki outboards controls gauges and digital systems
- Perform pre-delivery inspections and water testing on new and used boats
- Install and troubleshoot marine electronics and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate clearly with the team
- Ensure all work meets Suzuki manufacturer standards and warranty guidelines
- Help maintain a clean organized and efficient service environment
Qualifications
- 2 years of marine technician experience (Suzuki experience strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with Suzuki outboards and SDS software (or willingness to become certified)
- Strong understanding of marine electrical systems and rigging
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical bulletins
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid drivers license (boating experience highly preferred)
Preferred (Not Required)
- Suzuki Marine Certification
- Experience with digital rigging fly-by-wire controls and multi-engine setups
- Fiberglass detailing or general boat repair knowledge
